Western Mountaineering AstraLite Down Quilt - Ultralight (-3°C)

The Western Mountaineering AstraLite is an ultralight down backpacking quilt rated to -3°C and weighing from just 454g. It's for thru-hikers, fastpackers and minimalist campers who want warmth and freedom of movement with as little in the pack as possible.

A quilt drops the hood and the back insulation you'd compress anyway, and relies on your sleeping mat underneath. The AstraLite fills its baffles with 850+ fill power goose down to 11cm of loft, closes off the footbox to keep your feet warm, and adds an insulated draft yoke across the shoulders to stop heat leaking out. Removable lightweight pad straps hold the quilt to your mat so it stays put when you roll over. The 12D ripstop nylon shell is soft and breathable, and the whole thing packs down to 15 x 25cm.

Choose it for three-season trips where weight matters most, or as the top layer of a layered sleep system on cool alpine nights.
