We aim to make delivery as straightforward and affordable as possible. The delivery options available for your order will be shown at checkout before you pay.

Delivery charges vary depending on the destination, parcel size and weight, products ordered and fulfilment location.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights.

UK Delivery

Free Standard Delivery applies to eligible orders of £50 or more.

Special Delivery may be subject to product, postcode, dispatch-time and carrier restrictions. If you need an order by a particular date, please contact us before ordering.

Deliveries to Guernsey and Jersey may take slightly longer and may require customs documentation or additional processing.

European Delivery

Depending on the destination and parcel, we may use Royal Mail, UPS, DPD, FedEx or another suitable carrier.

International Delivery

For eligible standard products outside Europe:

The £24 rate applies where the parcel meets the size and weight requirements of the service.

Larger or heavier orders may require a different service, additional delivery charge or more than one parcel. Where applicable, this will be shown at checkout or we will contact you before dispatch.

Bulky Products

Some larger or heavier products require a specialist delivery service. This may include selected:

  • Climbing ropes

  • Hangboards

  • Training equipment

  • Larger bags

  • Heavy products

  • Unusually shaped products

Not every product within these categories is classed as bulky.

Bulky products do not qualify for our £50 or £100 free Standard Delivery thresholds.

Rates generally apply per eligible shipment rather than per individual product. Additional charges may apply where items need to be sent separately, from different fulfilment locations or using different shipping profiles.

Oversized Crash & Bouldering Pads

Our two largest crash/bouldering pads require specialist oversized delivery.

Oversized Pad Delivery: £25

This rate applies to eligible addresses in Great Britain, Guernsey and Jersey and reflects the substantially higher carrier and handling costs associated with these products.

Oversized pads:

  • Do not qualify for free Standard Delivery

  • Cannot be sent using ordinary Standard Delivery

  • May not be eligible for Express or Special Delivery

  • May require a separate parcel

  • May be subject to postcode restrictions

  • May not be available for delivery to Northern Ireland or international destinations

Where delivery outside our normal oversized-pad area is possible, the applicable charge will be shown at checkout or confirmed with you before dispatch.

If we cannot deliver an oversized pad on the terms shown when you ordered, we will contact you before dispatch. You may accept the alternative arrangement or cancel the affected product for a refund.

Partner-Fulfilled Products

A small number of products may be dispatched directly by one of our approved fulfilment partners.

For eligible UK products, Partner-Fulfilled Delivery is £4.15, with an estimated delivery time of 1–3 business days after dispatch.

Partner-fulfilled products:

  • May not qualify for our general free-delivery threshold

  • May attract a separate delivery charge

  • May arrive separately from other products in your order

The applicable delivery service and charge will always be displayed at checkout.

Free Delivery

Free Standard Delivery applies to eligible standard products as follows:

The qualifying order value is calculated after discounts and promotional codes and before delivery charges.

Free delivery applies only to the ordinary Standard Delivery portion of an eligible order.

It does not remove charges for bulky products, oversized pads, partner-fulfilled products, Express or Special Delivery, international delivery or other specialist services.

Orders Containing Different Types of Products

Some orders contain products assigned to different delivery categories, warehouses or fulfilment partners.

This can mean that:

  • More than one delivery charge applies

  • Products arrive in separate parcels

  • Parcels arrive on different days

For example, if an order contains both a standard product and a bulky product, the standard delivery element may become free once the qualifying threshold is reached, while the bulky delivery charge will remain payable.

The total delivery price shown at checkout before payment is the delivery charge applicable to your order.

Processing & Delivery Times

Orders dispatched from our main fulfilment location are normally processed within 1–2 business days.

Orders placed at weekends or on public holidays will normally begin processing on the next business day.

Delivery estimates:

  • Begin once your order has been dispatched

  • Are stated in business days

  • Normally exclude weekends and public holidays

  • Are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery appointments

  • May be longer for remote or offshore locations

  • May be affected by customs or carrier disruption

Partner-fulfilled products may have different processing times.

If you need an order by a particular date, please contact us before ordering and we'll be happy to advise on the best available service.

Carriers

Depending on the product, destination and service selected, we may use:

  • Royal Mail

  • Evri

  • UPS

  • DPD

  • FedEx

  • An approved fulfilment partner's carrier

  • Another suitable postal or courier service

We select the most appropriate carrier based on the parcel's destination, weight, dimensions, value, tracking and insurance requirements.

International carriers may use a local delivery partner for the final part of the journey.

A particular carrier cannot be guaranteed unless specifically agreed with us or offered as an option at checkout.

International Orders, Customs & Import Charges

Not every product can be delivered to every country. Restrictions can arise because of parcel size or weight, carrier limitations, customs regulations, safety requirements, manufacturer restrictions or local laws.

International orders may also be subject to:

  • Import VAT or GST

  • Customs duties

  • Brokerage charges

  • Carrier administration fees

  • Local handling charges

Unless expressly stated at checkout, these charges are not included in the price paid to The Escapades and are the recipient's responsibility.

We cannot predict or guarantee the amount that may be charged by customs authorities, carriers or local governments.

We accurately declare the contents, value and origin of international shipments where required. We cannot declare a commercial order as a gift or artificially reduce its declared value.

Customs processing may also delay delivery.

If a parcel is refused or not collected because applicable import charges have not been paid, it may be returned to us. Where permitted by law, any refund may be reduced by reasonable costs incurred as a result.

Delivery Problems

If your parcel appears delayed, damaged or missing, please contact us and we will help investigate the issue with the carrier.

Please check your delivery address carefully when ordering. Incorrect or incomplete addresses can result in delays or parcels being returned to us.

Where a parcel is returned because of an incorrect address, refusal, failure to collect or another circumstance attributable to the recipient, additional delivery or return costs may apply where permitted by law.

Safe Places & Delivery Instructions

Where you ask a carrier to leave a parcel in a safe place, redirect it or make another change to the delivery after dispatch, please make sure the location or instruction is appropriate and secure.

Any statutory rights you have in relation to the delivery of your order are unaffected.

Changes to Delivery Charges

We may change our delivery services, charges, free-delivery thresholds, eligible destinations or carriers for future orders.

Any changes apply only to future purchases.

The delivery charge displayed at checkout immediately before payment is the charge applicable to your order. We will not increase an agreed delivery charge after accepting your order without your agreement.
