The Tendon Salamander 10.2mm Rope is a floating, low-stretch canyoning rope certified to EN 1891, built for abseiling and hauling in wet canyons. Tendon call it their amphibian: it floats, it resists shrinking when wet, and it stays soft and easy to knot after repeated soakings.

Canyon ropes live in water, and the Salamander is built around that. A thicker, coarser sheath than a standard static rope gives it more abrasion resistance against wet, polished canyon rock, and the construction keeps its knotability and softness through repeated wettings rather than going stiff and shrinking. Its very static, low-stretch handling suits abseils and hauls where you want the rope to stay put, and the bright yellow finish keeps it visible in moving water.
