The Tendon eStatic 11mm Rope is an EN 1891 Type A static rope with a polyester sheath, made for rope access and work at height in damp conditions. Where a standard nylon-sheathed static rope soaks up moisture and stretches a little more, the eStatic's polyester sheath keeps elongation lower and shrugs off wet weather.

The polyester sheath does three useful things: it lowers static elongation compared with a standard static rope, it improves abrasion resistance on edges and anchors, and it is far less sensitive to damp, so the rope behaves the same on a wet roof at the end of a long shift as it did at the start. It also makes a distinct, easy-to-spot line, which is handy for two-rope techniques where you need to tell your working line from your back-up at a glance.
