The Tendon Ambition 8.5mm Half Rope with Complete Shield is a tough, fully dry-treated half rope for the mountains. It suits trad, alpine and multi-pitch climbers who want durability and a high fall rating over shaving the last few grams.

At 8.5mm and 45 g/m it handles comfortably and ties easily (knotability 1), while a 9 UIAA fall rating and very low sheath slippage keep it in shape through repeated use. Complete Shield treatment uses TEFLON ECO nanotechnology to protect both sheath and core against water and dirt, which extends the rope's working life and meets the UIAA 101 water repellent standard. Choose the Complete Shield version when you climb in wet weather, on alpine routes or in rescue and low-visibility settings where a rope that stays dry and clean really matters. Available in yellow or purple in 50m, 60m and 70m lengths.
