Slaphappy build the Urban in the UK from high-quality, responsibly sourced materials, and it shows. The shell is 1000D nylon with a 1000D Cordura HP landing deck, both chosen for resistance to wear. Inside, a three-layer foam system pairs UK-made closed-cell foam (2.5cm top and bottom, with 30% recycled content) with a 6cm open-cell core, balancing impact absorption with stability. The hybrid hinge keeps coverage consistent across the landing zone, minimising weak spots at the fold.

It closes with a heavy-duty YKK zip and a G-hook system, and opens to 10cm deep. This is a precision-built compact pad rather than a budget one; choose it if you want premium protection in a size you can carry on a train.
