The Nikwax Down Proof is a wash-in waterproofer for down-filled clothing and sleeping bags. It protects the insulating properties of down from wet and damp conditions.

Down loses its loft and warmth when it gets wet, so Down Proof adds water repellency to the down and fabric to keep insulation working. Use it in the washing machine or by hand after cleaning with Nikwax Down Wash Direct. It is recommended for Nikwax Hydrophobic Down, Hydrodown and all other down clothing and sleeping bags, and is non-flammable and PFAS-free.
