Metolius 5-Step Aider - Big Wall Aid Climbing Ladder (284g)

The Metolius 5-Step Aider is the classic aid ladder for big walls and technical routes. Five steps over 1829mm (72") give you maximum reach per placement, so you cover more ground with fewer moves and less energy.

Staggered triangular steps with Biothane™ stiffeners stay open and easy to find, which saves time and effort when you're climbing on gear all day. A reinforced clip-in point gives a secure connection to your protection, the full-strength grab loop is there for pulling up and balancing, sub-steps in the upper sections add precision on tricky placements, and a bottom clip-in point lets you link aiders. At 284g (10 oz) it's built to take repeated big wall use. Choose the 5-step when reach and efficiency matter more than a compact profile.
