The Kayland Cross Mountain GTX Boots are waterproof, semi-automatic crampon-compatible crossover boots built for mixed terrain, mountain routes and demanding conditions. They combine the comfort of a trekking boot with the precision and support of a mountaineering model, for rock, snow and technical ground without the bulk of a full alpine boot.
The GORE-TEX® Performance Comfort lining keeps feet dry in wet, unpredictable conditions and stays breathable over long days. Underfoot, the Vibram® Mulaz Evo outsole uses a 360° helical tread for grip on ascents and descents, with a climbing zone at the toe for precision on rock, and it improves stability and walking efficiency. The semi-rigid construction, Ankle Lock System (ALS) and extended, asymmetrical, toe-focused lacing give a secure hold with natural movement, and a bi-density midsole with TPU absorbs shock and cuts fatigue over long distances. Crampon compatibility is where they part company with standard hiking boots. Choose them for mountain hiking, scrambling, alpine approaches and summer mountaineering where a normal walking boot isn't enough.
