Everything the Defy does well, in a narrower fit. The Evolv Defy LV 2025 Climbing Shoes take one of the best entry-level climbing shoes and refine it for narrow or low-volume feet, with roughly 6% less overall volume than the standard Defy.

Less dead space means more control and sensitivity, so the slightly downturned, asymmetric shape and soft construction can do their job: helping you feel footholds, place your feet accurately and build technique from day one. Evolv rates it PSR 4, in the versatile 4–7 band (1–3 is very soft and smear-focused, 8–10 aggressive and edging-focused). A 1.6mm full-length plastic midsole, 3.5mm TRAX® SAS outsole, split tongue, soft heel, perforated upper and single strap closure round it out, at 215g per shoe.

Sizing: Evolv shoes are not designed to be downsized aggressively. Street shoe size gives a max performance fit, +0.5 to +1 size a performance fit, and +1 to +1.5 sizes a comfort fit. Most climbers should choose the performance fit.
