That small step up in shape over a flat beginner shoe means better foot placement and more edging support, while the soft heel, split tongue opening and perforated upper keep it comfortable for long indoor sessions. Underneath is a 1.6mm full-length plastic midsole and 3.5mm of TRAX® SAS rubber; Evolv rates the shoe PSR 4, a balanced, versatile feel. It is 100% vegan synthetic and weighs 215g per shoe. This is the medium volume version; a Defy Lace LV is available separately for narrower feet.
