The DMM Ceros Screwgate Belay Carabiner is a locking HMS built to stay the right way round. An internal wiregate holds the belay loop in place, a shaped horn discourages it from rolling into a cross-load, and the broad, full-section top bar gives your belay device a smooth surface to sit on.

Pick the Ceros if you want orientation control without a separate plastic clip – the mechanism is all part of the carabiner. It works with manual and compatible assisted-braking devices for belaying, lowering and top-rope setups, and at 86g with a 20mm gate opening it's a sensible everyday belay carabiner. The Matt Grey finish is understated.
