A removable spring-steel frame and dual-density foam shoulder straps carry heavy loads comfortably on the walk-in, and once you are at the route you can strip it to 690g in summit trim. The fixed hip belt carries gear loops, internal organisation keeps shovel and probe in their own slots, and a side zip gives mid-pack access without unpacking from the top.
