The Blue Ice Griffin 10 Crampons are lightweight 10-point semi-automatic crampons for mountaineering, glacier travel and ski touring. Made for boots with a heel welt, they give a more secure, performance-orientated fit than a universal strap binding, without adding weight to your pack.
The 10-point chromoly steel frame is stable on hard snow and front-points dependably on ice. Where the Griffin really earns its keep is fitting: a quick adjustment system with a central steel bar and Blue Ice's patent-pending sliding collar lets you size them precisely on the boot, fast, and they stay locked in across changing terrain. The 3D-shaped front and rear rails are formed from just 2mm steel to bite deep while keeping weight down. Choose this version if your boots have a heel welt; if they don't, you'll want a universal binding instead.
