The Blue Ice Bluebird Ice Axe is the most versatile and robust axe in the Blue Ice range, built for steep snow, alpine routes and classic mountaineering. A hot-forged stainless steel head and spike give it the durability to shrug off intensive use, season after season.

The curved aluminium shaft improves the swing and placement on steeper ground, and the dual-textured grip keeps it secure in gloves. A sliding pommel is included, so you can set your hand position for technical sections and steeper ground. At 363g in the 45cm length it's still light in the hand, and the stainless steel resists corrosion. Choose the Bluebird over a basic walking axe when your objectives include steeper snow and more demanding alpine terrain.
