The Alpha Sport carabiners have a shaped spine and big gate openings – 22mm at the bolt end, 25mm at the rope end – so they're easy to grab and clip even when you're pumped. The deep, broad rope basket spreads wear at the rope end, and a keeper holds the rope-end carabiner in the right position for clipping. The 18cm length helps reduce rope drag on wandering routes and over bulges.
